Change is the law of nature, and man has been following this law since time immemorial. This law has inspired mankind to move forward on the continuous path for development. Talking about our country India, we are witnessing huge developments in transport. Madhya Pradesh is also not lagging behind other states in the field of public transportation. Madhya Pradesh, which was once said to be underdeveloped, has shocked other states with its pace of development. The journey that started a few years back has inspired many.
Although the stream of development is flowing fast in every city and town of Madhya Pradesh, this stream of development is flowing rapidly, especially in Bhopal. This city is continuously setting new dimensions in the field of public transport. The Metro rail service that will start soon in Bhopal will also prove to be a milestone in the field of urban transport.
Bhopal, the city of rock peaks and lakes, has seen from close quarters the continuous changes in public transport. There was a time when the people of Bhopal used bullock carts to move from one place to another within the same city, and then came a time when horse carts and horse carriages came into practice in place of bullock carts. Time kept changing and, at the same time, the means of moving from one place to another within the city also kept changing. It is not that there was no means of transport before the era of the bullock carts, that period was different when elephants, camels, horses, mules and palanquins were the means of transportation, but that period was the period of the rule of kings and emperors and the British. We are talking about the post-independence era of India, that is, the continuous changes since 1947.
Since 1947, in India, there has been a continuous evolution in public transportation. Whether travelling from one city to another or from one state to another and at the same time if we talk about urban transport i.e. intra-city travel then these developments are also clearly visible. Talking about Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, the people of this city have seen the era of hand carts, bullock carts, horse carriages, cycle rickshaws, tempos, autos, buses, minibuses, magic vehicles, BRTS etc. The era of Metro Rail is about to begin, Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation is working day and night on the Metro rail project in Bhopal. MPMRCL is determined to gift the people of Bhopal a Mass Rapid Transit System aka, Metro train till next year to go from one place to another within the city.
Bhopal Metro system has been developing significantly since its inception. It has undergone many changes throughout the years, most notably in the quality of work, convenience to public and improvement in service.
This new Metro System will provide many benefits for commuters, including faster and more reliable service, improved safety, and new features.
The MP Metro system will offer a faster and more reliable service than buses and other means of public transport. These are also more comfortable, as they are air conditioned and not subject to traffic conditions. As metro systems are Mass Rapid Transit System it is generally more efficient than bus systems, they can move large numbers of people around a city quickly and efficiently.
The transformation of the metro system has made it much easier for people to get around and has increased the efficiency of public transportation. The Metro section is easier to navigate, with comprehensive detailed maps and information about every single station, and better-organized information about transportation. It’s also more user-friendly, with focus on simplicity and features like real-time train arrival times and a trip planner that helps you select the best route.
Bhopal and Indore metro rail systems will be well equipped with technologies that make it environmentally friendly and causes no air or sound pollution.
City transport has an effect on how people in the city move, live, and work. In India, public transport is not sufficient therefore many people rely on private vehicles. The government focuses on creating access to public transport that helps create a smoother and cleaner metropolitan experience for residents.
A big step forward that makes the commute even more convenient and accessible for people. Bhopal and Indore Metro Rail System has proposed the electronic ticketing and card system. This system will make it possible for people to use their NCMC (National Common Mobility Card) card to not only pay their fares but use it for travelling and shopping as well.
The growing advancements in the fields of technology and digitization that has led the MP metro to adopt real-time monitoring and analysing the infra development.
