Systra-DB JV appointed as General Consultant for Mumbai Metro Line 10, 12

Mumbai, India (Metro Rail Today): The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), implementing metro rail systems in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), has recently issued a letter of acceptance (LOA) worth Rs 265.10 crore to the joint venture of Systra MVA - DB Engineering & Consultancy (DB E&C) and announced appointment of General Consultant (GC) for upcoming Mumbai Metro's Line 10 and 12.

In July 2022, Systra-DB JV was emerged as the lowest bidder by beating other two bidders/consoritia namely AECOM – Hill International JV and AYESA – KNR Engineers JV through the Quality and Cost-Based Selection (QCBS) method after adding technical & financial scores.

Now Systra-DB JV will provide general consultancy services towards design, supervision, safety, quality control and contract management for both civil and systems work for Mumbai Metro Line 10 (Gaimukh – Shivaji Chowk) and Line 12 (Kalyan – Taloja).

Mumbai Metro Line 10 will be an 9.209 km extention of Line 4 which will extend with four elevated stations at Gaimukh Reti Bundar, Varsova Char Phata, Kashimira and Shivaji Chowk (Mira Road). This extension line will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 4,476 crores.

The 20.756 kilometre Mumbai Metro Line 12 will conenct Kalyan APMC to Taloja with 18 elevated stations at Kalyan APMC, Ganesh Nagar (Kalyan), Pisavali Gaon, Golavali, Dombivali MIDC, Sagaon, Sonarpada, Manpada (Dombivali East), Hedutane, Kolegaon, Nilaje Gaon, Vadavali, Bale, Waklan, Turbhe, Pisarve Depot, Pisarve and Taloja. This line will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 5,865 crores.
