Cylus and Duagon join hands to launch Fleetwide Cybersecurity Solution for Rolling Stock

New York, USA (Metro Rail Today): Cylus, a global leader in rail cybersecurity, has joined forces with duagon, a premier provider of communication, computing, and control technologies for railway systems, to unveil a cutting-edge, integrated cybersecurity solution tailored for rolling stock. The partnership aims to revolutionize onboard security by embedding protection directly into rail network architecture—delivering real-time threat detection, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience.

The collaboration merges CylusOne, Cylus’s rail-specific cybersecurity platform, with duagon’s newly launched D527 Multi-Ethernet Secure Gateway, resulting in a compact, ruggedized solution built to meet the demands of modern railway operations. This new offering provides rail operators with fleetwide visibility and centralized cybersecurity management, ensuring the safety and continuity of services amid evolving cyber threats.

“As cybersecurity threats continue to grow in complexity and frequency, rail operators need a solution that is not only secure-by-design but tailored to the operational realities of modern rolling stock,” said Miki Shifman, CTO at Cylus. “Our partnership with duagon delivers exactly that—a comprehensive, easy-to-deploy solution that protects critical onboard systems without compromising performance or operational continuity.”

The duagon D527 gateway is built for high-availability environments and fully supports IEC 62443 Security Level 2 (SL 2) standards. It offers secure remote updates, a hardened Linux kernel, a configurable firewall, and containerized application support for adaptable and robust deployment. When integrated with CylusOne, operators gain automated asset inventory, real-time threat detection, and continuous network monitoring—empowering them to proactively manage cyber risks across an entire fleet.

“We at duagon are committed to enhancing cybersecurity in railway environments,” said Alexander von Allmen, Head of Business Line Embedded Products at duagon. “By integrating CylusOne into the D527, we provide customers with a powerful, scalable solution that meets both current and future regulatory demands.”

The joint solution is compliant with key global standards and regulations including TSA cybersecurity directives, NIS2, IEC 62443, and TS 50701, offering rail operators a future-proof approach to cybersecurity.

Speaking on the announcement, Mrs. Mamta Shah, MD & CEO of Urban Infra Group, commented:

“This strategic partnership between Cylus and duagon is a significant step forward in safeguarding critical rail infrastructure. As India modernizes its rail networks, cybersecurity must evolve alongside. Integrated solutions like this are essential for ensuring safety, compliance, and resilience across our growing fleets.”

Urban Infra Group, a key player in infrastructure development across India, has consistently emphasized the importance of secure digital transformation within transport networks.

With customers around the globe, Cylus continues to lead in delivering specialized rail cybersecurity solutions that protect operations and enhance regulatory compliance.
