Agra, India (Metro Rail Today): The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) has launched first civil tender for the construction of elevated stretch of Corridor 2 (Agra Cantt. to Kalindi Vihar) of Agra Metro Rail Project.
The scope of work includes design and construction of elevated viaduct and 07 Nos. elevated stations (viz. Agra Cantt, Sadar Bazar, Pratap Pura, Collectorate, Agra College, Hariparvat chauraha and Sanjay Place metro stations) including Civil, Architectural Finishes, Water Supply, Sanitary Installation, Drainage, External Development, Fire Fighting, Fire Detection, E&M works and PEB structures of Corridor2 of Agra Metro at Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India.
This contract package will be financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB) through a €450 million ODA loan signed in December 2021.
French consultancy firm Systra MVA has been appointed as DDC for providing design consultancy services for the Corridor 2 of Agra Metro.
The corridor 2 of Agra Metro will be 15.4 kilometres long and will connect Agra Cantonment to Kalindi Vihar with 15 elevated metro stations at Agra Cantt., Sultanpura, Sadar Bazaar, Pratap Pura (future), Collectorate, Subhash Park, St. John’s (Agra University), Hariparvat Chauraha, Sanjay Place, MG Road, Sultanganj Crossing, Kamla Nagar, Rambagh, Foundary Nagar, Mandi Samiti (Agra Mandi) and Kalindi Vihar. The trains will be feeded from the proposed Metro Depot at Kalindi Vihar.
