New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): The 16th Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference & Exhibition 2023 concluded on a high note, marking a significant milestone in the pursuit of sustainable urban mobility solutions. Distinguished figures, including Manoj Joshi, Secretary of the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, and Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd, graced the valedictory session with their presence.
In a compelling address, Secretary MoHUA, Manoj Joshi, underscored the crucial role of smart cards as a convenient and efficient means of payment for commuters. He shed light on the ongoing government initiatives towards the adoption of the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC), emphasizing its potential to enhance the interoperability of various urban transport modes.
