Bengaluru, India (Metro Rail Today): In a major push towards India’s high-speed rail ambitions and indigenous manufacturing capabilities, Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & IT, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, inaugurated BEML’s ‘Aditya’ High-Speed Rail Complex in Bengaluru.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Shri Satish Kumar, Chairman, Railway Board, Shri Shantanu Roy, CMD, BEML Ltd., along with senior officials from Indian Railways and the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL).
The ‘Aditya’ High-Speed Rail Complex has been developed as a state-of-the-art, future-ready manufacturing facility, aimed at anchoring the indigenous design and production of India’s first high-speed bullet train platform.
At the core of this initiative are the upcoming B-28 high-speed trainsets, which will be manufactured using advanced, precision-driven engineering systems.
