Global tender floated for construction of 7-km elevated stretch of Indore Metro Rail Project

Indore, India (Metro Rail Today): Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has invited global bids from the experienced and eligible construction firms for the contsruction of 7-km elevated stretch of Indore Metro Rail Project Phase 1.

The scope of work includes part design and construction of Elevated Viaduct, Five (5) Elevated Metro Rail Stations (viz. Shaheed Bagh, Khajrana Chauraha, Bengali Chauraha, Patrakar Colony & Palasia Chauraha) and Ramp between Chainages 31+755 to 34+898.061 & 3+669.547 to 5+862 for Indore Metro Rail Project.

The estimated cost of work is Rs 495.32 crore and the completion is expected in 1,092 days.

Tender documents can be downloaded from 28th March 2023 to 16th May 2023 online after payment of Non-refundable cost of tender documents/tender fee of Rs 50,000/-.

The last date for submission of bids is 16th May 2023.

This tender is part of 33.53 km ring line corridor (Yellow Line) connecting Palasia – Railway Station – Rajwara- Airport – Bhawarsala – MR10 – Palasia with 30 metro stations at Bhawarsala Square, MR 10 Road, ISBT / MR 10 Flyover, Chandragupta Square, Hira Nagar, Bapat Square, Meghdoot Garden, Vijay Nagar Square, Radisson Square, Mumtaj Bag Colony, Bengali Square, Patrakar Coloy, Palasia Square, High Court / Hotel Residency, Indore Railway Station, Rajwada Palace, Maulana Azad Marg, Bada Ganpati, Ramchandra Nagar Square, Kalani Nagar, BSF, Airport, Gandhi Nagar Nanod, Super Corridor 6, Super Corridor 5, Super Corridor 4, Super Corridor 3, Super Corridor 2 and Super Corridor 1.

This corridor will form a mix of elevated and underground sections. Presently, 16.217 km section of this corridor is under construction between Gandhi Nagar and Mumtaj Bag Colony. The Ring Metro Corridor is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 7500.80 crore.

Construction work was commenced in February 2019 and is expected to be completed in 2027.
