Kineco Group acquires UK-Based TRB Lightweight Structures to bolster Global Rail Interiors Business

Goa, India (Metro Rail Today): In a major boost to India's growing presence in global rail manufacturing, Kineco Group, a leading Indian composites and mobility solutions company, has acquired TRB Lightweight Structures Ltd. (TRBLS), a UK-based specialist in lightweight rail components. This strategic move strengthens Kineco Global Rail, the group’s flagship brand in turnkey rail interior systems, and positions it as a formidable player in the international rail market.

The acquisition of TRBLS—finalized in September 2025—follows Kineco’s earlier acquisition of Semvac A/S (Denmark) in December 2024, a well-established European brand in rail sanitation systems. Together, these strategic additions mark the formation of a robust portfolio under Kineco Global Rail, combining expertise in interiors, sanitation, and lightweight engineering.

TRB, with a 70-year legacy, is a trusted supplier to leading rolling stock OEMs across Europe and Asia and is known for its innovation in composite-based, lightweight interior solutions.

The transaction was introduced and advised by Mr. Pravin S. Mistry, Global CEO of PREA Ltd., a Manchester-based M&A and strategic advisory firm.
