Visakhapatnam, India (Metro Rail Today): N.P. Rama Krishna Reddy was re-appointed as the Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (APMRC) on 6th August 2024. His term will be next three years. This appointment is a strategic move aimed at advancing the development and execution of metro rail projects within the state, reflecting the government’s commitment to enhancing urban transportation infrastructure.
Reddy also served as first Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (formerly known as Amaravati Metro Rail Corporation). Reddy, who has extensive experience in infrastructure and transportation, will lead the efforts to progress APMRC's metro rail initiatives. His leadership is expected to drive the completion of ongoing projects and expedite the implementation of new metro routes across Andhra Pradesh.
The appointment comes at a pivotal moment as the state seeks to expand its metro network to meet the growing demands of urban mobility. Under Reddy’s direction, APMRC will focus on improving connectivity, reducing travel times, and ensuring efficient and eco-friendly public transportation solutions.
