New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): The Chamber of Railway Industries (Rail Chamber) has officially launched its Membership Drive for 2026–27, inviting professionals, companies, institutions, researchers, and students from across the railway and mobility ecosystem to join a national platform dedicated to advancing India’s rapidly evolving rail sector.
The initiative aims to bring together a vibrant community of stakeholders working in railway infrastructure development, rolling stock manufacturing, signalling and safety systems, metro rail projects, logistics, research, and emerging mobility technologies. Through this membership drive, the Rail Chamber seeks to foster stronger collaboration between industry, government agencies, academic institutions, and technology providers to support India’s ambitious railway modernization and expansion agenda.
Membership is open to both individual professionals and students, as well as organizations and companies operating across the railway ecosystem.
India’s railway sector is currently witnessing an unprecedented phase of transformation driven by large-scale investments in high-speed rail corridors, modern semi-high-speed trains, freight infrastructure, metro rail expansion, digital signalling technologies, and indigenous manufacturing initiatives.
In this rapidly evolving landscape, the Rail Chamber aims to serve as a key platform for industry dialogue, policy engagement, and knowledge exchange, enabling stakeholders to collaborate on advancing innovation, technology adoption, and sustainable rail infrastructure development.

Individual memberships include Fellow Member (FCRI) for senior professionals and industry leaders, Affiliate Member (ACRI) for professionals working in railway-related sectors, and Student Member (SCRI) for students pursuing studies in engineering, transport planning, or infrastructure disciplines.
For organizations, the Chamber provides Corporate Membership for large companies, manufacturers and EPC contractors, Institutional Membership for government bodies, research institutions and universities, and Associate Membership for MSMEs, startups and service providers involved in the rail sector.
