New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): YFC Projects has emerged as the sole bidder for the civil construction contract D2C-01 of the Delhi Metro Green Line extension between Inderlok and Indraprastha, a key segment of Delhi Metro’s ambitious Phase 4 expansion.
The 12.377 km long Green Line extension (Line-5) will connect Inderlok to Indraprastha through 10 stations, comprising an 11.349 km underground stretch and a 1.028 km elevated corridor. Contract D2C-01, the only elevated section of this route, covers construction of an elevated viaduct, a new station box at Inderlok, and a 74-meter transition ramp to the underground twin tunnels.
The scope under D2C-01 includes the design and construction of an elevated viaduct from CH – 514.012 to CH – 440.000, one elevated station at Inderlok with associated facilities, a transition ramp, advanced Finishing Packages (AFP) and pre-engineered steel roof structure and sheeting.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had floated the tender in April 2025 with an estimated project cost of ₹117.16 crore and a project timeline of 960 days (approximately 2.6 years).
As part of the new development, the existing viaduct and station box at Inderlok — constructed during Phase 2 — will be partially demolished and decommissioned to accommodate the new alignment and infrastructure for Phase 4.
It has been over a month since YFC Projects’ technical bid was opened, and with no tender cancellation announced so far, it appears that DMRC is proceeding with bid evaluation despite the single bidder scenario — a relatively uncommon outcome in major urban infrastructure tenders.
If awarded, this would mark YFC Projects’ second major win in Phase 4, following their work on the elevated Package DC-04 between Saket G Block and Sangam Vihar on the under-construction Golden Line.
As the DMRC progresses with evaluation and potential award, stakeholders are keenly watching how this segment’s construction will be integrated into the existing network with minimal disruption to ongoing metro operations.
