With the L1 bid substantially below NMRC's estimated cost, the result highlights the intense competition among engineering and transport consultancy firms for India's expanding metro rail programme.
The consultancy assignment covers general consultant services for 15.113 km of elevated metro extensions being planned by NMRC. The appointed consultant will support the corporation in various technical and project-related activities associated with the development of the proposed metro infrastructure.
The contract has an indicative completion period of 1,460 days, according to the tender result.
The project is part of the broader effort to expand metro connectivity across the rapidly developing Noida and Greater Noida region. The proposed extensions are expected to strengthen public transport connectivity and support the integration of residential, commercial and employment centres with the existing metro network.
Although Aarvee Engineering Consultants has emerged as the L1 bidder, the contract award is yet to be issued. The financial bid evaluation will be followed by the remaining procurement and award formalities by NMRC.
The consultancy tender carries an estimated value of ₹75.56 crore and an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹75.56 lakh.
The development comes at a time when Noida and Greater Noida are witnessing rapid expansion of metro and regional connectivity infrastructure. The strengthening of the metro network is expected to play an important role in improving mobility, reducing dependence on private vehicles and supporting the region's long-term urban development.
The latest tender result follows a series of major procurement activities for the expansion of the Noida Metro Aqua Line and other proposed metro extensions. With civil construction, consultancy and systems-related contracts moving forward, the region is steadily building the infrastructure required to accommodate rising passenger demand.
The emergence of Aarvee Engineering Consultants as L1 for the ₹51.51-crore general consultancy package marks another step towards advancing Noida's planned metro expansion and developing a more integrated urban mobility network.
