Bhopal, India (Metro Rail Today): Ayesa India has emerged as the lowest bidder for the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) contract aimed at overseeing the electrical and mechanical (E&M) systems for the Phase 1 projects of Bhopal Metro and Indore Metro. This contract, designated as BH-IN-21 by Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Co Limited (MPMRCL), encompasses a comprehensive scope across multiple civil packages, marking a significant milestone in the metro rail development in Madhya Pradesh.
The DDC contract package (BH-IN-21) covers nine underground stations and twenty-four elevated stations spread across various segments:
Ayesa India, as the appointed DDC, will be tasked with producing detailed designs and proposing alternate solutions for electrical and mechanical works, including plumbing, environmental control systems (ECS), tunnel ventilation systems (TVS), SES/CFD simulation, and building automation systems/SCADA systems.
MPMRCL initiated the bidding process in September 2023 with an estimated budget of Rs. 15.07 crore and a contract duration of 4.4 years. Following the submission of technical bids in January 2024, Ayesa India's bid of Rs. 11.89 crore emerged as the lowest, demonstrating competitive pricing and compliance with technical requirements. Competitors such as Tata Consulting Engineers – LEAP JV and Ardanuy India also submitted competitive bids close to Ayesa's figure.
