Two Consortia Bid for General Consultancy Contract for Hyderabad Metro Phase 2 Project
New Delhi, India (Rail & Metro Today): BBG Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. has emerged as the successful bidder for a ₹137.93 crore contract floated by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the design and construction of seven elevated metro stations and a foot overbridge (FOB) in Delhi.
According to the tender result published on November 3, 2026, BBG Infrastructure was the only bidder to qualify through the technical evaluation and subsequently emerged as the lowest eligible bidder. The contract has a stipulated completion period of 660 days.
The tender attracted two bidders: BBG Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. and Quality Buildcon Private Limited. However, Quality Buildcon did not clear the technical evaluation and was rejected at that stage, leaving BBG Infrastructure as the sole technically qualified bidder.
The financial bid of BBG Infrastructure was recorded at ₹137.93 crore, with the company emerging as the successful bidder against the tender requirements. The estimated earnest money deposit (EMD) for the contract was ₹1.45 crore.
The tender was published on June 23, 2026, and bids closed on September 7, 2026. DMRC opened the financial bids on October 27, 2026, following the technical evaluation process.
The project covers the design and construction of seven elevated metro stations along with an associated foot overbridge. The development of elevated stations involves multiple civil and structural engineering activities, including station buildings, passenger circulation areas, access facilities and integration with surrounding urban infrastructure.
The selected contractor will be required to complete the assigned works within 660 days. Timely execution will be important to ensure coordination between civil construction, station infrastructure and the wider metro development programme.
The contract highlights continued opportunities for domestic infrastructure companies in Delhi Metro's ongoing construction and expansion activities. Projects involving elevated stations and passenger access infrastructure require specialised expertise in urban construction, structural engineering, safety management and execution within congested city environments.
BBG Infrastructure's success in the tender adds another metro infrastructure assignment to the company's portfolio, while the outcome reflects the competitive technical and financial evaluation process followed by DMRC in awarding major construction packages.
