DMRC-led JV shortlisted to bid for Tel Aviv Metro Consultancy contract

New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): As part of a consortium of reputed international firms, DMRC has crossed the ‘pre-qualification stage’ to qualify for the ‘Invitation to Bid’ stage for providing consultancy to Tel Aviv Metro project in Israel.
 
A Metro network of 145 kilometres with 109 stations and three corridors is being planned for the city of Tel Aviv. The consortium involving Delhi Metro will bid for designing the project.
 
The other members of the consortium along with DMRC are Poran Shrem Engineering and Appraisal Ltd, RITES Limited and Hasson Yerushalmi Consultant (1997) Ltd.
 
DMRC is currently involved as a consultant in three corridors of the Dhaka Metro project in Bangladesh. Delhi Metro is providing consultancy for sectors such as design, construction supervision, procurement support, tender assistance & training.
 
Earlier DMRC was involved as a consultant for the Jakarta Metro project. In addition, Delhi Metro has extensive experience in providing consultancy to almost all operational and upcoming Metro projects in India.
 
Tel Aviv Metro (akso known as Metro TLV) is a planned mass rapid transit system (subway) system for the Tel Aviv Metropolitan Area. It will augment the Tel Aviv Light Rail and Israel Railways suburban lines and consist of three underground metro corridors to form a rapid transit transportation solution for the city.
 
The construction work is expected to start in 2025, with the first public opening in 2032.
