The tweet unveiled a video showcasing the inaugural test run of the Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) enabled driverless metro train at the Hebbagodi Depot.

The successful test run at Hebbagodi Depot signifies the completion of the initial stage of testing for the driverless trains. This crucial phase paves the way for the trains to progress into subsequent testing stages, including trials on the mainline, further evaluations by the Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO), and eventual inspection by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS).

By leveraging advanced automation and signaling technology, the driverless trains aim to reduce headway to an impressive 90 seconds, significantly enhancing frequency and efficiency along the metro network.
