Pune, India (Metro Rail Today): Workers on Saturday cast the first pile cap (foundation) for the 16.589 km Pune Metro Purple Line’s 4.519 km extension from Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to Nigdi.
This major milestone was recorded at PMP Anna Bhau Sathe Bus Terminal near Bhakti Shakti Chowk (view on Google Maps). It comes less than four months after Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (MahaMetro) awarded Pune Metro Phase 1 Extension Package C-01’s Rs. 339.23 crore contract to Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL).
RVNL’s civil engineering subcontractor is currently unknown. If someone reading this is aware, please leave a comment below or message via the Contact page.
