GMRC notifies jobs vacancy for O&M posts across Ahmedabad and Surat Metro Rail projects

Ahmedabad, India (Metro Rail Today): In a strategic move to enhance operational efficiency and manpower readiness across the metro corridors of Ahmedabad and Surat, the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited has released an extensive recruitment notification for various Operations & Maintenance (O&M) roles. The recruitment drive, announced on July 24, 2025, invites applications from eligible and experienced professionals to join GMRC on a contract or deputation basis for a period of 3 to 5 years.

The available posts span across executive and non-executive categories, with job roles including Managers, Assistant Managers, Senior Section Engineers, and Supervisors. These positions will be deployed in vital departments such as Operations, Rolling Stock, Traction, Civil/Track, Signalling, Telecom, and E&M systems.

For executive-level roles like Manager (Operations, Traction, Rolling Stock, Signalling, and Telecom), the salary scale ranges from ₹60,000 to ₹1,80,000, with eligibility criteria mandating a B.E./B.Tech degree in relevant engineering fields and 7 to 9 years of post-qualification experience. Assistant Manager roles, with a pay band of ₹50,000 to ₹1,60,000, are open to candidates with 5 to 7 years of experience, preferably in metro rail or PSU environments.

In the non-executive bracket, GMRC is recruiting Sr. Section Engineers and Supervisors with experience ranging from 5 to 6 years in their respective domains. These positions offer a pay scale from ₹40,000 to ₹1,45,000, and applicants must demonstrate hands-on expertise in operations, maintenance, installation, testing, and commissioning of metro systems. Applicants from both government and reputed private sector backgrounds are eligible, with proof of salary/CTC and relevant certifications required at the time of application.
