Bhopal, India (Metro Rail Today): The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRC) on June 17, 2022, opened the financial bids for the contract package BH-08 of the Bhopal Metro Rail project. As per the bid result, Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd emerged as the lowest bidder among the other six bidders.
The scope of work includes Engineering, Supply, Erection, Testing, and Commissioning of Power Supply Receiving Sub Station, Traction Sub Station, Auxiliary Sub Station, 750 V DC 3rd Rail and SCADA System for the Bhopal Metro Rail Project.

As per the above financial position, Sterling and Wilson Ltd seems like the lowest bidder but Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd has submitted a lower transmission loss bid resulting in a total bid valued at Rs 615.27 crore which is marginally lower than the Rs 618.34 crore of Sterling and Wilson Ltd.
Tender notice for the above contract package was issued in November 2021 with an estimated tender value of Rs 516 crore and 1278 days work completion deadline. Technical bids were opened in March 2022.
Now all bids have been sent for final evaluation by the tender committee.
Earlier, Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd also won the electrification contract package IN-09 of the Indore Metro Rail Project.
