Bhopal, India (Metro Rail Today): The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) on February 14, 2022 opened the financial bids of civil contract contract package BH-06 for the construction of metrocar depot at Subhash Nagar of Bhopal Metro Rail Project.
As per the result announced by MPMRC, the consortium of KEC International Ltd and SAM India Builtwell Pvt. Ltd. emerged as the lowest bidders among other seven bidders. Here are the scope of work and financial positions of each bidders.

Construction of Rolling Stock Depot-cum-Workshop at Subhash Nagar for Bhopal Metro Rail Project.
MPMRC's Estimate: Rs 322.91 crore.

However, Altis Holding Corporation – Varindera Constructions JV, Amara Raja Infra Pvt Ltd, Bansal Construction Works Pvt Ltd, Bridge and Roof Company India Ltd, Cube Construction Engineering Ltd., Engineering Projects (India) Ltd, Shalimar Corp Ltd and SMS Ltd were not qualified in the technical round. Hence, their financial bids were not opened.
Tender notice for this package was invited in August 2021 with a 4 year completion deadline. Technical bids were opened in December 2021.
Now all bids have been sent for the evaluation.
The Subhash Nagar Metro depot will be built on a 26.1 hectare land parcel in the west side of Subhash Nagar Metro Station. This depot will be used for accomodation of metro trains for Bhopal Metro's Phase 1 corridors. Presently, the 14.99 km Purple Line (Karond Circle – AIIMS) is under construction and the 12.88 km Red Line (Bhadbhada Square – Ratnagiri Tiraha) is in the planning stage.
