Spread across an expansive 83 hectares, the Sabarmati Rolling Stock Depot boasts cutting-edge facilities designed to cater to both light and heavy maintenance requirements of trainsets. Drawing inspiration from depots in Japan, it features inspection bays, washing plants, workshops, sheds, and stabling lines, all meticulously crafted to meet the operational needs of the Bullet Train Project.

Expansion Plans

With 4 inspection lines and 10 stabling lines currently operational, the depot has ambitious expansion plans, envisioning 8 inspection lines and 29 stabling lines in the future. Specialized facilities such as bogie exchange lines and general inspection lines ensure comprehensive maintenance capabilities, ensuring the seamless operation of the Bullet Train fleet.
