Noida, India (Rail & Metro Today): Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a major civil construction package for the Noida Metro Aqua Line Extension, with a quoted bid value of ₹1,234 crore.
The tender has been floated by the Noida Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRC) for the design and construction of an elevated viaduct and 10 elevated metro stations under the Aqua Line extension project in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the tender bid details, NMRC had estimated the contract value at ₹1,267 crore, while L&T's bid of ₹1,234 crore is approximately 2.60% below the estimated cost.
L&T emerged as L1 after a competitive bidding process involving several major infrastructure companies.

Two bidders, Milan Road Buildtech LLP and Ranjit Buildcon Limited, were marked as technically rejected.
The tender, identified as 2026_NMRC_1148041_1, carries an estimated completion period of 1,096 days, or approximately three years.
The selected contractor will be responsible for the design and construction of the elevated viaduct and 10 elevated stations, forming a key civil works package for the planned extension of the Noida Metro Aqua Line.
The Aqua Line extension is expected to expand metro connectivity to emerging residential, commercial and employment centres in the Noida region.
The latest tender development is significant for the region's expanding urban transport network, as additional metro connectivity is required to accommodate growing passenger demand and support planned urban development.
With L&T emerging as the lowest bidder, the project is now expected to move towards the next stages of evaluation and award, subject to completion of the prescribed tendering and contractual procedures.
The project will further strengthen the Noida Metro network, while creating additional opportunities for seamless integration with other existing and planned mass rapid transit corridors in the National Capital Region.
