Navin Kumar assumes charge as Director of Rolling Stock & Systems at UP Metro

Lucknow, India (Metro Rail Today): In a significant development for the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC), Navin Kumar has taken on the crucial role of Director Rolling Stock & Systems. Bringing with him a wealth of experience, Navin Kumar, an Electrical Engineer by profession, transitions from his role as the Establishment Officer in the Ministry of Railways to spearhead the rolling stock and systems portfolio at UPMRC.

With over 30 years of experience in the Railways, Navin Kumar has held pivotal positions throughout his career. His previous roles include serving on the Railway Board, various Zonal Railways, and holding esteemed positions such as Joint Secretary and Executive Director-Establishment (Gazetted Cadre). Notably, during his tenure at Banaras Locomotive Works, he played a crucial role in the design, erection, and commissioning of India's first IEEE-387 compliant 2.4 MW DG Set for Kaiga and Rawatbhata Atomic Power Plants.

In his new role, Navin Kumar will oversee the Rolling Stock and Systems aspects of the Lucknow, Kanpur, and Agra Metro projects. This includes managing and optimizing the operations and maintenance of the rolling stock, ensuring the seamless functioning of systems critical to the metro's efficiency.
