Mumbai, India (Metro Rail Today): The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has opened financial bids of contract package CA-166 of Mumbai Metro's Line 5A on 24th May 2023 in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
As per the financial bid result shared, Delhi-based firm Paras Railtech Private Limited emerged as the lowest bidder by beating other four mahor players in the industry.
Tender notice for supply and installation of ballastless tracks on a 12.72 km section of Mumbai Metro Line 5 (Orange Line) was issued in February 2023 with an estimated cost of work of rs 18.41 crore and 18 months work completion deadline.
The scope of work includes design, construction, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of ballastless track work in mainline from Kapurbawdi Station ch 301.373 m to Dhamankar Naka ch 13027.957 m including third track near kasheli station depot entry exit app.

The 24.09 kilometres Line 5 of Mumbai Metro Rail Project will connect Kapurbawdi (Thane) to Kalyan APMC via Bhiwandi with 17 elevated metro stations. The stations will be built at Kapurbawdi, Balkum Naka, Kasheli, Kalher, Purna, Anjur Phata, Dhamankar Naka, Bhiwandi, Gopal Nagar, Temghar, Rajnouli Village, Govegaon MIDC, Kongaon, Durgadi Fort, Sahajanand Chowk, Kalyan Railway Station and Kalyan APMC.
This corridor is being constructed at the cost of Rs 8,416 crore.
