Surat, India (Metro Rail Today): The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (GMRC) last week opened the financial bids for civil contract package CS-04 of the Surat Metro Rail Project in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
As per the financial bid result, Ahmedabad-based construction firm Ranjit Buildcon Limited emerged as the lowest bidder by beating seven other construction firms/consortia. The financial positions of each bidder are as under:-
The tender for the contract package CS-04 of Surat Metro was floated in February 2022 with an estimated cost of work of Rs 286 crore. Technical bids were opened in May 2022.
The brief scope of work includes the construction of 4.15 km (ch. -450 to ch. 3700) elevated viaduct dead end of Sarthana station to end of UG ramp including 4 stations (Excl. E&M, Architectural finishing and Roofing) for Corridor 1 of Surat Metro Rail Project Phase – 1. The four stations under this contract package will be bult at Sarthana, Nature Park, Varaccha Chopati Garden and Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Kalakunj in the north-east part of Surat city.
This section is part of a 22.77 km long corridor 1 of Surat Metro which will connect Sarthana to Dream City with 20 stations.
All bids are now sent for final evaluation by the tender committee and once the evaluation is completed the GMRC may award the contract to the lowest bidder for commencing the construction work.
