Hyderabad Airport Metro Ltd (HAML) is planning to issue Letter of Awards (LoAs) on September 6 to these selected firms. The selected consultancy firms are required to submit Preliminary Project Reports (PPRs) within two months. These reports will include traffic surveys, travel demand forecasting, ridership estimates, and alternative options analysis to recommend suitable modes of public transport.
Following that, they will prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) within three months. These comprehensive reports will cover aspects such as Metro rail alignment, viaducts, at-grade and underground options, station and depot planning, electric traction, signaling and train communication systems, coach specifications, environmental and social impact assessments, transit-oriented development plans, last-mile connectivity strategies, cost estimates, fare structures, financial analyses, and project implementation plans, among other aspects.
NVS Reddy, the managing director (MD) of HAML, mentioned that Aarvee Associates received the highest technical score and offered competitive financial bids across all four packages. According to the tender conditions, Aarvee Associates was awarded two packages (II and III), while Systra, the runner-up in technical scoring, secured the other two packages (I and IV) by matching the lowest financial bid.
Five firms vied for the opportunity to play a pivotal role in this significant infrastructure venture. Among them, Aarvee Associates emerged as the firm with the highest technical score and the most competitive financial bid, securing two contracts. However, according to tender conditions, a firm could only win two contracts. Consequently, Systra, the next highest technical scorer, was invited to match Aarvee's financial bid and claimed two contracts as well.
Additionally, the selected agencies have been tasked with starting field surveys concurrently across all designated corridors without delay, in accordance with the directives of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
