Pune, India (Metro Rail Today): Pune's transportation landscape is about to witness a major upgrade as the Pune Metro gears up to open two new stretches – Garware College to Ruby Hall Clinic and Civil Court to Phugewadi – for the public. The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro) has announced that these eagerly awaited extensions are likely to be operational by the end of this month.
With the final safety clearance from the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) anticipated in the slast week of July, the opening of these stretches is drawing closer. The CMRS officials have conducted three meticulous inspections, and the final visit is slated for this week, bringing the commencement of passenger services one step closer.
Once the CMRS grants the final certificate to Maha-Metro, the metro corporation will promptly inform the state government, which will make the ultimate decision to kickstart passenger services on the two stretches.
