UP Cabinet approves DPR of ₹2,992 crore Noida Metro Aqua Line Extension Project

Lucknow, India (Metro Rail Today): In a major development for Noida's public transport infrastructure, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has approved the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the extension of the Noida Metro Aqua Line. The extension will stretch the current Aqua Line corridor from Noida Sector 51 to Greater Noida Knowledge Park V, a vital connection aimed at improving accessibility and enhancing commuting convenience in the region.

The decision, finalized during a Cabinet meeting on Friday, November 22, is expected to bring substantial benefits to commuters between Noida and Greater Noida. According to government officials, the estimated cost of the project is ₹2,991.60 crore. The extension will cover a distance of 17.435 kilometers, significantly improving the overall reach of the metro network in the National Capital Region (NCR).
