BEML opens job vacancies for Rail, Metro, Defence and Engine Divisions amid expansion drive

Bengaluru, India (Metro Rail Today): In a strategic move aligned with India’s growing focus on infrastructure and defence modernization, BEML Limited, a premier multi-technology PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has announced a wide-ranging executive recruitment drive across key functions including rolling stock manufacturing, metro business development, finance, HR, and engine design.

The recruitment, detailed under Advt. No: KP/S/17/2025, comes at a crucial time as BEML expands its footprint in national flagship initiatives such as Vande Bharat Sleeper trains, metro rail systems, armoured vehicles, AI-based mining equipment, and special application engines for defence. The company seeks to onboard career-oriented professionals across managerial, senior management, and R&D roles to support these critical projects.

The notification includes multiple high-impact positions such as:

  • Chief General Manager – Rolling Stock Manufacturing

  • General Manager – Metro Business Development

  • Deputy General Manager – Engine Design, Production, Electronics, and Testing

  • Assistant Manager & Manager roles in engine projects, testing, and analysis

  • Specialized roles in Rajbhasha (Official Language Implementation)

Notably, positions are open at BEML's key facilities in Bengaluru and Mysore, with roles covering project management, metro infrastructure marketing, defence R&D, engine calibration, and advanced manufacturing. Experience in sectors such as metro rail, high-speed trains, defence electronics, and engineering simulations (FEA, CFD, NVH) is highly desirable.

Eligibility criteria vary by position, with minimum post-qualification experience ranging from 4 to 21 years, and upper age limits between 30 to 51 years, relaxable as per GoI norms. Private sector candidates applying for senior positions (GM & CGM) must demonstrate experience in companies with a minimum ₹1,000 crore annual turnover, preferably listed entities.

The selection process will include application screening, document verification, and medical fitness assessments. Applications are to be submitted online only through the BEML career portal (www.bemlindia.in) before 18:00 Hrs on September 12, 2025. Applicants are required to upload academic, identity, and experience documents as per the checklist provided.
