New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) has recently awarded a pivotal Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to M/s Nuvision Commercial and Escort Services (NCES). This substantial contract focuses on providing comprehensive Train Operations Services for the Red Line and Green Line of the Delhi Metro Rail network. The agreement signifies a crucial advancement in enhancing the operational efficiency of these significant routes, impacting thousands of daily commuters.
The tender reference number for this significant project is DMRC/TRAIN-OPS-03/2023. The scope of work involves overseeing train operations on the Red Line, specifically from Shahdara Crew Control, and on the Green Line from Mundka Crew Control. The awarded value of this contract is ₹65,09,68,759.13. The contract spans a period of 2310 days, a substantial timeframe dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of these critical transit lines.
The primary objective for the contractor is to manage train operations services in alignment with DMRC’s requirements. The successful bidder, NCES, may also be called upon to provide full or partial services on other lines or upcoming lines within the Delhi Metro network in the event of a need or emergency. This requires deploying a proficient team, including Train Drivers, Train Driver Supervisors, and a Train Driver Manager, to ensure seamless and effective management of train operations.
Scope of Work
The contract stipulates that the outsourced train operations staff will be responsible for operating train services according to the established timetable. They will follow the instructions from the Traffic Controller stationed at the Operation Control Centre (OCC) for movements on the mainline and from the Depot Controller for train movements within the depot.
