Deutsche Bahn India appoints Mukesh Gupta as Head-HR

New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): Deutsche Bahn International Operations, a subsidiary company of the German railway company Deutsche Bahn Group, has announced the appointment of Mukesh Gupta as Head - Human Resources for India.

In his new role, Mukesh Gupta will lead the Human Resource function in India and carriers the responsibility of execution of the first RRTS Project mainly focusing on the scale-up of the talent pool and creating an inclusive, enriching, and progressive work culture meeting global standards.

Deutsche Bahn International Operations has recently signed a contract agreement with the National Capital Region Transport Corporation Ltd (NCRTC) for operations & maintenance of semi-high speed RRTS trains on the 82.15 km Delhi-Meerut RRTS Corridor for a period of twelve years.

Gupta is an HR professional with extensive experience in designing and executing the people strategy for building a delivery-focused high-performance organization. He has over with almost 10 years of experience in the HR domain.

A proven track record of helping organizations, both Startups, and organizations looking to scale up as they transform and grow. He has worked with companies on strategies such as high volume hiring, career ladders across the board, culture building, employer and organizational branding, etc.

"Taking Role as a Head of Human Resource for Deutsche Bahn is a proud moment for me. The role comes with a huge challenge as this is the first time and a paradigm shift that operational, maintenance and Asset Management responsibilities are given to a private company in India. This comes with the need for diverse competencies to be trained and onboarded. But with the experience and expertise of our company for managing such contracts, we will be able to deliver the expectations of the Customer," said Mukesh Gupta.

Prior to Deutsche Bahn India, Gupta has been worked with CRRC India as Head- HR. Mukesh is an MBA in HR and has served various Metro rolling Stock manufacturing companies such as CRRC, Alstom, Bombardier, and also Scomi (for Mumbai Monorail O&M) in various Senior Management roles. He was engaged in supporting the setup of greenfield manufacturing units, Maintenance Depots, and Corporates.
