Jaipur, India (Metro Rail Today): The Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Limited (JMRC) has appointed Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) as General Consultant (GC) for providing general consultancy services to JMRC in implementation of upcoming corridors from Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar (Phase 1C) & Mansarovar to 200 ft Bypass, Ajmer Road (Phase 1D) of Jaipur Metro Rail Project.
In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Friday in Jaipur between Jaipur Metro’s Chairman & Managing Director, P Ramesh and Delhi Metro’s Director, Business Development, Pramit Kumar Garg.
"DMRC has been appointed the General Consultant for Jaipur Metro’s upcoming corridors from Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar (Phase 1C) & Mansarovar to 200 ft Bypass, Ajmer Road (Phase 1D). DMRC will now provide consultancy for the project's quality aspects and timebound completion," said a statement. DMRC was also involved in the construction of the presently operational corridors of Jaipur Metro.
In Phase 1C, the existing 11.97 km Pink Line (Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar) will be extended from Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar with 2 stations at Ramganj Chaupar. and Transport Nagar This stretch will be constructed at the estimated cost of Rs 856 crore, according to the detailed project report (DPR). The total length of the Phase 1C of Jaipur Metro project will be 2.85 km (2.26 km Underground and 0.59 km Elevated). This project is expected to be completed by March 2025. Once constructed, the estimated ridership between the entire stretch will be over 1.38 lakh by 2031.
In Phase 1D, the existing 11.97 km Pink Line (Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar) will be extended from Mansarovar to 200 ft Bypass, Ajmer Road with one station. This 2 km long stretch will be constructed at the estimated cost of Rs 400 crore, according to the detailed project report (DPR).
