New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): The Chamber of Railway Industries (Rail Chamber) has announced the appointment of Mr. Rakesh Gaur, Chief Executive at SAE Towers (a subsidiary of KEC International), as an Independent Advisor to its Advisory Board. The move is aimed at strengthening the Chamber’s strategic capabilities by bringing in global expertise across infrastructure, energy and railway systems.
Mr. Gaur brings over four decades of rich experience spanning domestic and international markets, with a strong track record in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), project management and large-scale infrastructure delivery. His professional journey includes leadership roles across reputed organisations such as ACC, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), IRCON, Siemens, ABB and Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL), where he has played a key role in driving business growth and executing complex projects.
Extensive Global Expertise Across Infrastructure Domains
Over the years, Mr. Gaur has led and delivered infrastructure projects across diverse geographies including Africa, the CIS region and Latin America. His expertise covers a wide spectrum of sectors such as power transmission and distribution, railway electrification, civil infrastructure, signalling and telecommunications systems.
Known for his ability to lead cross-functional and multicultural teams, he has consistently overseen projects from conceptualisation to commissioning, ensuring efficiency, quality and timely delivery. His appointment is expected to enhance the Rail Chamber’s engagement with global markets and strengthen its role in facilitating international partnerships.

He currently serves as Co-Chair of the FICCI Latin America & Caribbean Council (2026) and is a Board Member of the Indian Brazil Chamber of Commerce. He is also associated as Brand Ambassador for Invest Minas for railway infrastructure.
His past contributions include leadership roles within the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), including Co-Chairmanship of the Central Asia Committee, and active participation in FICCI and CII committees related to railway equipment and BRICS initiatives. These engagements reflect his strong commitment to fostering international collaboration and industry growth.
