Bengaluru, India (Metro Rail Today): The Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) Limited (K-RIDE) on February 13, 2022 opened the financial bids of General Consultacy Contract for 149.348 km Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project.
As per the finacial bids result announced by K-RIDE, the consortium of Egis Rail India, Louis Berger Group and AECOM India emerged as the lowest bidder for this major contract packagge. The consortium has quoted Rs 196 crore against K-RIDE's estimate of Rs 202.76 crore (Rs 202,76,41,500). The selection was made on the Quality Cost-Based Selection (QCBS) 80:20 method.

K-RIDE will implement a total of 148 km (approx) commuter rail network comprising 4 lines and 64 stations in the first phase of Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project. The estimated cost of Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project is Rs 15,767 crore.
