Bengaluru, India (Metro Rail Today): The Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) Limited (K-RIDE) on February 13, 2022 opened the financial bids of General Consultacy Contract for 149.348 km Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project.
As per the finacial bids result announced by K-RIDE, the consortium of Egis Rail India, Louis Berger Group and AECOM India emerged as the lowest bidder for this major contract packagge. The consortium has quoted Rs 196 crore against K-RIDE's estimate of Rs 202.76 crore (Rs 202,76,41,500). The selection was made on the Quality Cost-Based Selection (QCBS) 80:20 method.

K-RIDE will implement a total of 148 km (approx) commuter rail network comprising 4 lines and 64 stations in the first phase of Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project. The estimated cost of Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project is Rs 15,767 crore.
Tender notice for the first civil contract package for construction of 8.027 km elevated viaduct between Benniganahalli and Chikkabanavara have already been floated and bidding process is underway. The technical bids are scheduled to open on February 21, 2022.
