Cairo Metro Line 4 will serve high-density areas like El Haram, Faysal, Giza, Nasr City, and New Cairo, while connecting key locations such as the Grand Egyptian Museum and Al Azhar University. The new line is expected to transport 2 million passengers daily, making it a critical infrastructure project for the city’s growth.
Notably, Line 4 will also integrate with the 6th of October City monorail line, providing a seamless travel experience across greater Cairo. The project is being funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), further strengthening international collaboration in Egypt’s transportation sector.
As the city prepares for its most advanced metro line yet, the first phase of Metro Line 4 promises to reshape urban mobility, offering a greener, smarter, and more efficient way for Cairo’s residents to travel.
