Nagpur, India (Metro Rail Today): Enia Design Private Limited emerged as the lowest bidder for the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) contract DDC-03 of the Nagpur Metro Phase 2 project, securing a significant milestone in the expansion of Maharashtra's metro network. The contract, awarded by Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (Maha-Metro), encompasses the design of 8 elevated stations along the Orange Line's southern extension, covering a stretch of 18.70 kilometers between Jamtha and Butibori.

The scope of Package DDC-03 includes the design of elevated stations at strategic locations including Ashokvan, Dongargaon, Mohgaon, Meghdoot MIDC, Butibori Police Station, MHADA Colony, MIDC KEC, and MIDC ESR. These stations will serve as vital transit hubs, enhancing connectivity and facilitating seamless travel for commuters.

Technical bids were evaluated in December 2023, with Enia Design emerging as the preferred bidder after a rigorous evaluation process.

The financial bid values revealed Enia Design's competitive edge, with their bid of ₹3.08 crore significantly below Maha-Metro's estimate, positioning them as the frontrunner for the contract. Other bidders included Composites Combine Technocrats Pvt. Ltd., STUP Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Ayesa India Pvt. Ltd., and TYPSA India Pvt. Ltd. The financial position of all bidders are as under:-

  • Enia Design Pvt. Ltd.: ₹3.08 crore

Leveraging their expertise and experience, Enia aims to deliver innovative and efficient designs that align with the project's objectives and requirements.

This marks Enia's second successful bid in Nagpur Metro's Phase 2, following their previous win for design package DDC-02 for Reach 3A & 4A, which comprises 11 stations. With Enia's involvement, the Nagpur Metro Phase 2 project is poised to achieve new milestones in infrastructure development, enhancing urban mobility and contributing to the region's socio-economic growth.
