Mumbai, India (Metro Rail Today): The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has opened technical bids for trackwork contract package CA-161 of Mumbai Metro Line 4 / 4A ( Wadala – Kasarvadavali – Gaimukh) on 3rd March 2023 in Mumbai.
As per information shared, a total of five firms have submitted their bids to supply ballastless tracks for Mumbai Metro Line 4 (32.32 km) and Line 4A (2.88 km). The name of the bidders are as under:-
The scope of work under contract package CA-161 includes design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Ballastless Trackwork in Mainline from Mulund Fire Station (Ch. 18929.611 M) to Gaimukh (Ch. 34702.272 M) including Siding Tracks of Gaimukh Station of Corridor 4/4A (Green Line) of Mumbai Metro Rail project.
Tender notice for above contract package was issued in January 2023 with an estimated cost of work of Rs 131.11 crore and 2 years work completion deadline.
Now all bids have been sent for technical evaluation. Once completed, MMRDA will open the financial bids to declare the lowest bidder of this contract package.
A total of 34 stations will form Mumbai Metro's Line 4 & 4A.
