Bengaluru, India (Metro Rail Today): The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has selected the consortium comprising of SYSTRA MVA, DB Engineering & Consulting and Oriental Consultants Global for providing general consultancy services for systems integration work of 21.386 km Pink Line and 56 km Blue Line of Bangalore Metro Rail Project, Phase 2.
BMRCL signed a contract agreement with Systra MVA (lead partner) on March 2, 2022 for Rolling Stock, Signaling and PSD works of Reach-6, Phase-2A and Phase 2B of Bangalore Metro Rail Project. The scope of work includes include engineering, tender documentation, bid process management, testing and acceptance, and testing and commissioning of these systems for Bangalore Metro.

We will carry out these services for state of the art GoA4 specification trains with UTO, CBTC signaling systems as well as Platform Screen Doors," said Milind Nirmal, Executive Director, Asia Pacific, Deutsche Bahn Engineering and Consulting.

In March 2021, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) had issued notice (contract package 2RS-C) and invited Expression of Interest (EOI) applications from the global consultancy firms for the above work with a 89 months completion period.
BMRCL will procure a total of 318 metro coaches (Rolling Stock) for 21.386 km Pink Line (Kalena Agrahara – Nagawara), 18.2 km Blue Line (Silkboard – KR Puram) and 37 km Airport Line (KR Puram – Airport) under its Phase 2, Phase 2A and Phase 2B.
