JMRC withdrawals tender notice issued for Jaipur Metro Phase 1 Extension

Jaipur, India (Metro Rail Today): The Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Limited (JMRC) has issued withdrawal notice for tender floated for construction of 2.6 km underground tunnel under Phase 1C of Jaipur Metro Rail Project on 21st June 2023.

JMRC had issued a global tender notice [JP/EW/1C(Underground)/03] for Design and Construction of Twin Tunnel by Shield TBM, Underground Station (Ramganj Chaupar), Cut and Cover Tunnel Box and Underground Ramp from Badi Chaupar dead end Ch:10387.860 to Underground ramp end Ch:13040 of Jaipur Metro Phase-1C including Entry Exit Structures, Architectural finishing, water supply, Sanitary Installations and Drainage Works at Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.

The cost of work was estimated to Rs 717.23 crore inclusive of all taxes. The last date to submit bids for the above contract package was 6th August 2023. However, JMRC has given any reason for withdrawing tender notice for this major civil contract.

In Phase 1C, the existing 11.97 km Pink Line (Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar) will be extended from Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar with 2 stations at Ramganj Chaupar. and Transport Nagar This stretch will be constructed at the estimated cost of Rs 856 crore, according to the detailed project report (DPR). The total length of the Phase 1C of Jaipur Metro project will be 2.85 km (2.26 km Underground and 0.59 km Elevated).

This project was expected to be completed by March 2025. Once constructed, the estimated ridership between the entire stretch would be over 1.38 lakh by 2031.

JMRC has appointed Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to provide general consultancy services for Phase 1C & 1D of Jaipur Metro Rail Project.
