Nagpur, India (Metro Rail Today): The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (Maha Metro) has intended to appoint detailed design consultants (DDC) for traction and civil works of the Nagpur Metro Rail Project, Phase 2. Maha Metro has invited bids from the eligible and experienced consultants to provided consultancy services for the Phase 2 as under:-
Scope of work: Selection of Detailed Design Consultancy Services for 12 (Twelve) Elevated Stations Viz. Pili Nadi, Khasara Fata, All India Radio, Khairi Fata, Lok Vihar, Lekha Nagar, Cantonment, Kamptee Police Station, Kamptee Municipal Council, Dragon Palace, Golf Club And Kanhan River, Excluding Viaduct in Station Portions on Reach-2A and Reach-2B of Nagpur Metro Phase 2.
Scope of work: Design Consultancy for preparation of Traction Overhead Equipment Layout Plan (LOP) & Sectioning Drawing for Nagpur Metro Rail Phase 2.
The foundation stone of Nagpur Metro Phase II was laid down by the Prime Minister on 11 December 2022 and is targeted to be completed by 2026. The project with an estimated cost of Rs 6,700 crore will take the total length of Nagpur Metro project to 82 km.
