Mumbai Metro Line 3 partners with ACES India for Mobile Infrastructure Services

Mumbai, India (Metro Rail Today): In a significant development for Mumbai's urban connectivity, the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) has officially signed a contract agreement with ACES India Private Limited. The agreement, witnessed by Ms. Ashwini Bhide, IAS & Managing Director, MMRC, and R. Ramana, Director (Planning), MMRC, paves the way for ACES to provide Mobile Infrastructure (Neutral) Services for Mumbai Metro Line 3.

The contract spans a substantial duration of 12 years, during which ACES will be entrusted with the responsibility of delivering cutting-edge mobile infrastructure services. This includes the implementation of advanced 4G and 5G technologies, catering to over 625 million passengers annually along the extensive stretch of 33.5 kilometers. Encompassing 27 stations, platforms, concourse levels, and tunnels, ACES aims to provide seamless coverage, ultra-high speed, and an enhanced user experience in mobile connectivity.

As the chosen partner for Mumbai Metro Line 3, ACES India Private Limited emerges as a multifaceted enterprise with a focus on wireless communication, information technology systems, and network testing & monitoring. Functioning as a Neutral Host (NH) Operator in both Saudi Arabia and India, ACES holds Wholesale infrastructure licenses from CITC and UL/VNO Category B License from DoT, respectively.

The company specializes in In-Building Solutions (IBS) infrastructure, meeting the demands of telecom operators while offering cost-effective networks capable of accommodating multiple mobile operators. The first phase of Mumbai Metro Line 3 is eagerly anticipated to open to the public in June of this year. Operated by the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL), the project comes with an estimated cost of ₹30,000 crore (US$3.8 billion).
