Chennai, India (Metro Rail Today): The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has opened financial/price bids for underground civil contract packages UG-03/RT-01 (KMC to Royapettah), UG-04/RT-01 (Radhakrishnan to Adyar Junction) and UG-05/RT-01 (Adyar Depot – Taramani Link Road Ramp) of Phase 2 Corridors of Chennai Metro Rail Project on 1st May 2023 in Chennai.
As per the financial bids opening results, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) emerged as the lowest bidder in all three packages of Chennai Metro Rail Project Phase 2.
The scope of work under contract package UG-03/RT-01 includes construction of five underground stations at KMC, Sterling Road Junction, Nangambakkam, Gemini, Thousand Lights and Thousand Lights Crossover and works other than diaphragm wall of two underground stations at Royapettah Govt. Hospital & Chetpet Metro in connection with Corridor 3 of Chennai Metro Rail Project Phase 2.
The financial positions of each bidder is as under:-
The scope of work under contract package UG-04/RT-01 includes construction of Four Underground Stations at Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai, Thirumayilai, Mandaiveli and Adyar Junction and Two Cross Passage Shafts and One Emergency Escape Shaft and works other than Diaphragm wall of One Underground Station at Greenway in connection with Corridor 3 of Chennai Metro Rail Project Phase 2.
The financial positions of each bidder is as under:-
The scope of work under contract package UG-05/RT-01 includes construction of three underground stations at Adyar Depot, Indira Nagar and Taramani Road Jn and Ramp and works other than diaphragm wall of underground station station Thiruvanmiyur Metro in connection with Corridor 3 of Chennai Metro Rail Project Phase 2.
The financial positions of each bidder is as under:-
The revised tender notice for the all above contract packages were issued in December 2021 with 1725 days work completion deadline. Technical bids were opened in March 2023.
Now all bids have been sent for the final evaluation.
