Seven firms bid for electrification contract of Bhopal & Indore Metro Rail Projects

Bhopal, India (Metro Rail Today): The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has recently opened the technical bids of two major electrifications contracts (package BH-08 & IN-09) for Bhopal and Indore Metro Rail projects. 

As per the information shared by MPMRCL, following seven firms have submitted their bids to undertake the electrification (750VDC 3rd Rail, SCADA System etc) works for the under-construction Bhopal and Indore Metro Rail Projects.

  • KEC International Ltd. 
  • Larsen & Toubro Ltd.
  • Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd.
  • Linxon India Ltd.
  • Alstom Transport India Ltd.
  • Siemens Ltd.
  • Sterling and Wilson Ltd.

Contract Package BH-08 (Bhopal Metro)

Scope of Work: Engineering, Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of Power Supply Receiving Sub Station, Traction Sub Station, Auxiliary Sub Station , 750 V DC 3rd Rail and SCADA System for Bhopal Metro Rail Project.

Tender notice for contract package BH-08 was invited in November 2021 with an estimated cost of work of Rs 516 crore and 1278 days (3.5 years) completion deadline. Technical bids were opened on March 17, 2022.

Contract Package IN-09 (Indore Metro)

Scope of Work: Engineering, Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of Power Supply Receiving Sub–Station (RSS), Traction Sub-Station (TSS), Auxiliary Sub-Station (ASS), 750 V DC 3rd Rail and SCADA System for Indore Metro Rail Project.

Tender notice for contract package IN-09 was invited in November 2021 with an estimated cost of work of Rs 516 crore and 1278 days (3.5 years) completion deadline. Technical bids were opened on March 4, 2022.

All bids are now sent for technical evaluation. Once completed, MPMRCL will open the financial bids to reveal the lowest bidders of both contract packages.
