Siemens wins ₹19.56 crore electrification contract of Delhi Metro Phase 4

New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) today opened financial bids for the contract package DE-05R for 25kV AC OHE traction work for the 2.03 km underground stretch between Janakpuri West and Krishna Park Extension of 38.235km Corridor 8 (Magenta Line) of Delhi Metro Rail Project, Phase 4.

As per the financial bid result, Siemens Limited emerged as the lowest bidder among the other five bidders. The financial position of each bidder is as under:-

  • Siemens Limited: Rs 19.56 crore (L1)
  • Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited: Rs 20.29 crore (L2)
  • Shalaka Infra-Tech India Pvt. Ltd.: Rs 20.41 crore (L3)
  • VIKRAN Engineering & Exim Pvt. Ltd.: Rs 20.49 crore (L4)
  • KEC International Limited: Rs 20.67 crore (L5)
  • Alstom Transport India: Disqualified

The revised tender notice for the contract package DE-05R was invited in September 2021 with an estimated cost of work Rs 22.75 crore. Technical bids and financial bids were opened this month.

The scope of work includes Design, Detail Engineering, Manufacture, SITC of 25 KV AC Traction (RIGID OHE), 33KV ASS, Associated Cabling and SCADA Systems for Krishna Park Underground Station of Janakpuri west to R. K Ashram corridor (Extn. of Line-8) of Phase-IV Delhi Metro Rail Project. This stretch is being constructed by HCC-VCCL JV.

All bids have been sent for final evaluation and the LoA will be issued soon.
