Gandhinagar, India (Metro Rail Today): Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRC) issued a global tender notice for the supply of signaling & train control systems for Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project.
The scope of work includes the Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Signalling and Train Control System for Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-II.
Tender documents can be downloaded from GMRC's official website or eprocurement portal from 7th April 2022 to 2nd June 2022 (up to 15.00hrs) on payment of Rs 25,000/- against the document fee.
No pre-bid meeting will be called by GMRC. Last date for submission of technical as well as financial bids is 2nd June 2022 till 15.00hrs (IST). The technical bids will be opened on 2nd June 2022 at 15.30hrs (IST) in the office of Sr. DGM (Civil & Procurement), Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited, Block No.1, First Floor, Karmayogi Bhavan, Behind Nirman Bhavan, Sector 10/A, Gandhinagar: 382010, Gujarat, India.
This package will be financed by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
Phase 2 of Ahmedabad Metro consists 28.254 km metro network with 2 corridors and it was approved by Central Government on February 19, 2019, at a total estimated cost of Rs 5384.17 crores. The foundation stone of Phase 2 was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 4, 2019. However, the construction work started in February 2021. Phase 2 envisions a north extension of Line-2 from Motera Station to Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.
