Pune, India (Metro Rail Today): In a major boost to India’s railway modernization efforts, Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited, a leading player in the country’s rail infrastructure sector, has bagged two significant contracts worth over ₹78 crore from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro) and Central Railway.
These latest wins underscore Texmaco’s growing contribution to India’s Aatma Nirbhar Bharat, Make in India, and Viksit Bharat 2047 missions, as the company continues to deliver world-class engineering solutions for rail and metro projects across the nation.
The first contract, valued at ₹44.61 crore, has been awarded by Maha-Metro for the PCMC–Nigdi Elevated Extension of the Pune Metro.
The scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of:
25kV Flexible Overhead Catenary System (FOCS)
25kV Sectioning Posts
33kV Auxiliary Sub-Station (ASS)
SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems
The project, scheduled for completion within 110 weeks, will enhance the operational efficiency and reliability of Pune Metro’s expanding urban rail network — a vital step in improving sustainable mobility across Maharashtra’s fast-growing industrial and residential zones.
The second contract, valued at ₹33.89 crore, has been secured from Central Railway for the Ahmadnagar–Beed–Parli New Broad Gauge (BG) Line.
Under this agreement, Texmaco will undertake the design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 132kV/55kV Scott-Connected Transformer system. The project, to be completed within 12 months, is expected to enhance the electrification network and improve energy efficiency across key rail corridors.
Mr. Sudipta Mukherjee, Managing Director of Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd, said:
