96 Station Controllers and Train Operators required for Bangalore Metro Rail Project

Bengaluru, India (Urban Transport News): The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) invites applications from eligible ex-military personnel for appointment for the Station Controllers/Train Operators in the Operation & Maintenance Wing of Bangalore Metro on “Contract basis” for a period of 5 years which is extendable based on the performance.

Eligibility Criteria

Matriculation and Three Years Diploma in Electrical Engineering /Electrical & Electronics Engineering/  Telecommunications / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical Power Systems /Industrial Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification or Equivalent Qualification in Class -I trade issued by Armed Forces.

Age Limit, Salary & Allowances

• Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as on 16.05.2023
• Pay Scale: Rs 35000 - 82660 (IDA) with 3% annualincrement

Period of Contractual Appointment

The period of contractual appointment will be for 5 years. The contract period may be extendable based on the performance of individual. The contract of appointment may be terminated by either side by giving 3 months’ notice or by paying the contractual remuneration of 3 months in lieu of notice period.

Selection Procedure

• The selection will be made on merit, on the basis of written examination.
• Candidates are also required to pass Psychometric test. BMRCL will call those eligible candidates who are shortlisted based on written examination and psychometric test for medical examination and verification of the original documents.
• There shall be no negative marking in the written examination.
• The syllabus for the written examination will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and/or technical qualifications prescribed for the posts. The Questions will be of objective type with multiple answers and likely to include questionspertaining to General knowledge, General English, General Arithmetic, Analytical and Page 6 of 8 Quantitative Skills and those subjects covered as part of minimum educational/technical qualifications forthe post. There will be only one question paper.
• The question paper will be in English/Kannada and the duration of the examination will be about 120 minutes with approximately100 questions.
