BCPL Railway Infra bags ₹25.47 crore Contract for Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project

Bengaluru, India (Metro Rail Today): BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited has announced that the company has received an order from Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) Limited (K-RIDE) for Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project on 22nd February, 2023.

This order has been received for the work of 25 KV AC, 50 Hz, Single Phase OHE for Doubling of Yeshvantpur - Banasawadi (29 Track Kilometre) including construction of Hebbal SP, Modification of Yeshvantpur SSP and Diversion of IR track for 6 nos LC elimination to construct Corridor-2 of BSRP.” The total project cost comprises of Rs 254.71 million and it is expected to be executed over a period of 18 months.

Commenting on the same, Aparesh Nandi, Chairman said, “We at BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited are pleased to inform our stakeholders on our recent order intake for the first time with “K-Ride”. The value of this order is Rs.254.71 million and we are quite optimistic about the pipeline of orders in the coming months and in near future also. We expect to end the year on robust order book.”

BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited (Erstwhile Bapi Construction Electrical Engineering Pvt. Ltd) is engaged in the field of railway infrastructure development. Its business activities include designing, drawing, supplying, erecting and commissioning of 25KV, 50 Hz Single Phase Traction Overhead Equipment. It is the one of the niche players catering in the area of Railway electrification with an established track record of about 3 decades.

The 148 km Bengaluru suburban rail project with four corridors was approved by the Central Government in October 2020 at an estimated cost of Rs 15,767 crore. But the project gained momentum only in June 2022 after Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone.
