New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): In a significant development for India's railway infrastructure, Besco Limited, a prominent railway equipment manufacturer, has secured a substantial contract from Indian Railways worth approximately INR 342.20 crores. This contract entails the manufacturing and supply of 800 BOSM Wagons, highlighting Besco's continued commitment to enhancing the nation's rail network.
Besco, known for its expertise in railway equipment manufacturing, has been entrusted by the Ministry of Railways with the task of producing and delivering 800 BOSM Wagons. This contract, valued at INR 342.20 crores, underscores Besco's reputation as a reliable partner in advancing India's rail infrastructure.
Upon satisfactory completion of wagon inspection at the manufacturer's works, the Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO) will issue a Dispatch Memo authorizing the manufacturer to dispatch the wagons. Subsequently, the manufacturer will seek a 'FIT TO RUN' certificate from the nominated Train Examination Supervisor.
Once the necessary certifications are obtained, the wagons will be examined by Train Examination Supervisor staff, who will issue the 'FIT TO RUN' certificate for their movement to the nearest station. The Station Master will then facilitate the drawing out of wagons from the manufacturer's siding and conduct a Brake Power check before issuing the Brake Power Certificate (BPC).
