BL Kashyap awarded contract to build High Speed Rail Training Institute in India

New Delhi, India (Metro Rail Today): The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has awarded a contract worth Rs 141 crore to BL Kashyap and Sons Limited to construct training instutute building for National High Speed Rail Projects in Vadodara, India on 12th April 2023.

NHSRCL has planned to develop a Training Institute at Vadodara in Gujarat to train staff of High Speed Rail Project. The facility shall be used for providing training in Japanese style and lodging. 

The Training Institute will be developed in aprrox. 12 acres land. The construction works of the Training Institute have been divided into 3 packages. The contract package MAHSR-TI-1, which has been awarded to BL Kashyap and Sons, contains construction of Main Building, Canteen Building, Residential Building and Utility Building.

The three-storey main building will have 6 practice rooms, 2 large storage rooms, 250-seater auditorium, administration area, 12 classrooms and 3 multipurpose rooms, 2 (13-persons) Passenger Lift, one 3000kg Cargo Lift and equipment in the practice room including furnitures.

The Residential building will have 12 Furnished Apartments for Professors and Lift, 8 Furnished Apartments for Supporting Staff and Lift and Electrical room, Storage and Gardening Equipment.

The Canteen Building will have facility to serving up to 400 people, 3 meals per day and fixed equipment for kitchen. Tables and Chairs for 170 Diners for seating area, Food Service for 60 people for party room,  Two Badminton courts, One Squash court, Gym and Snooker Room.

The BL Kashyap and Sons will have to complete the awarded tasks in 24 months.

Back in 2019, NHSRCL had awarded a contract worth Rs 332 crore to BL Kashyap & Sons for design and construction of Sabaramati High Speed Rail Terminal for 508.17 kilometer Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor.
